After successfully running two Tejas Express trains between New Delhi-Lucknow and Mumbai-Ahmedabad, IRCTC launched a third private train between Varanasi and Indore.
IRCTC Kashi Mahakal Express, the new private train by IRCTC, will run from Varanasi to Indore on February 20, 2020.
Kashi Mahakal Express Timings (via Sultanpur-Lucknow)
The Kashi Mahakal Express train number 82401 from Varanasi – Indore will depart from Varanasi at 14:45 every Tuesday and Thursday and will reach Indore at 09:40 the next day.
For the return trip, the train number 82402, will leave Indore at 10:55 am every Wednesday and Friday and arrive at Varanasi at 6:00 am the next day. The train will stop at Bina, Jhansi, Kanpur, Ujjain, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Lucknow and Sultanpur.

Tour Packages offered by IRCTC Kashi Mahakal Express
There are some exceptionally good tour packages offered to the passengers and this covers both the business as well as the religious tourism sites of the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. The religious sites that are covered within the package are Omkareshwar, Bhopal, Sanchi, Ujjain, Bhimbetka, Kashi, Ayodhya, Mahakaleshwar and Prayag.
Tour Option A - Mahakal Darshan
The duration for this tour is for two nights and three days. The journey starts on a Sunday and also on Tuesday. The packages excluding the train fare costs Rs. 12320 for each passenger.
The size of the group varies between 2 and 3. This package costs Rs. 11630 for a group size varying between 4 and 5, Rs, 11250 for a group consisting of 6 to 10 members. The cost for the double occupancy will be Rs.9420/- for each of the passengers for a group size of 2 to 3. It costs Rs. 8730 for a group size of 4 to 5 and Rs. 8350 for a group size of 6 to 10 members.
The cost for triple occupancy will be Rs. 8670 for each of the passengers where the size of the group will be around 2 to 3. It will be Rs 7,980 for a group size of 4-5, Rs 7,590 for a group consisting of 6 to 10 members. The package excluding the train fare for child with or without bed will be Rs 3,790.
Tour Option B - Bhopal-Sanchi-Bhimbetka
The duration of this tour is two nights and three days. The journey will begin on Sunday and Tuesday. The cost of the package excluding the train fare for Single Occupancy is Rs 14,790 per person for a group size of 2-3, Rs 14,100 for a group consisting of 4 to 5 passengers, Rs 13,710 for a group size of 6-10 passengers.
The Double Occupancy cost will be Rs 10,350 for a group size of 2-3, Rs 9,660 for a group consisting of 4 to 5 members, Rs 9,270 for a total of 6 to 10 members.
The Triple Occupancy will cost Rs 9,070 for a group size of 2-3, Rs 8,380 for a group size of 4 to 5 members, Rs 7,990 for a group size of 6 to 10 members.
Tour Option A - Malwa Jyotrilinga Darshan (Ujjain-Omkareshwar-Maheshwar-Indore)
The tour duration is for three nights and four days and the journey will begin on Thursday.
Tour Option B - Bhopal-Sanchi-Bhimbetka-Ujjain
The tour duration is for three nights and four days.
